It all started when George’s American dad made pancakes for the family every Saturday morning. As George grew up, that simple tradition stuck — and eventually made its way into our own family life too.
Then, when Linz’s niece married a Norwegian, we were introduced to proper homemade waffles as well. Brunch outings with our boys became a regular thing, but time and again we’d hear the same thing in cafés: “Sorry, we’ve run out of pancakes.”
Run out?! How could you run out of pancakes unless you weren’t making them fresh?
That’s when it clicked. We wanted to create the kind of place we were always searching for — a warm, cosy pancake, waffle and coffee house where everything is made properly, and pancakes are never an afterthought.
We believe in looking after both people and the planet. That means using eco-friendly packaging wherever possible, ethically sourced coffee, and working with local producers we genuinely care about. We also donate a proportion of our profits to local and global charities that are close to our hearts.
